Art is the most significant medium to convey social issues that crucial for the achievement of a change to the conditions and culture in society. And in this case, I am in the painting as my medium, not only in the searching for an aesthetic purpose but also to convey my ideas, especially to deliver protests of patriarchal culture that exist in my birthplace, Bali, Indonesia. I had a harsh critique of the patriarchal system that disadvantage women. Where women not have full rights and freedom in society  including her politics life.  The role of women is limited from taking care of the household, gave birth to continue the descent, as well as other activities that full restraint. It is a cultural problem that inherited and continues until to the present generation , which is caused by the failure of the education system that embedded in family life even in wider community.

Through art I would like to visualize the pain and the struggle of women to liberate themselves as individuals or as a society so that it can spur a movement that will bring women’s lives become bright and better.
